Darwin - "The Gravest Objection" - David Rives
Charles Darwin asks an excellent question in his work 'On the Origin of Species': "Why (then) is not every geological formation and every stratum full of (such) intermediate links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and this, perhaps, is the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory."
He then attempts to defend his position over the next 23 pages, claiming "The explanation lies, as I believe, in the extreme imperfection of the geological record".
I believe that the science behind modern geology is fatally flawed by the evolutionary theories of influential writers like James Hutton and Sir Charles Lyell.
Their hunger to learn was overshadowed by their desire to explain their findings in a natural, atheistic way. In pioneering their fields of study, they sparked a conformist group who would continue on the same path to this day.
Did they believe in God? Not enough to give consideration to Biblical history. The future of science will one day show: THAT was a grave mistake.

Great Post David.... It has been my experience over the last forty years, that those "Scientists" proposing Evolution, have had problems with fraud within their own ranks. I remember learning in college about Pilt Down Man, Java Man, Peking Man, Haekels Embryos... All taught as "FACT" but refuted as frauds later. I even had the opportunity to ask Dr. Leaky Jr. about "Lucy", and learned that "the Top half of the fossil was found quite a distance (many feet) from the bottom half" making the "Lucy" find questionable. I was heart broken when I learned that my favorite dinosaur, "Brontosaurus", was in fact TWO skeletons put together! And my own investigations into Geological strata for fossils have never found the "Uniform" strata proposed in any of my college classes : Geology, Anthropology, Biology, Soil Science, Marine Biology, or ANY Class proposing Darwinian Evolution. The more I have investigated, the more reasonable the Events in the Bible make sense...and are supported by new discoveries by Empirical Science! We CAN trust the Bible! Some of my favorite Scientists are Hugh Ross, Ken Ham, DeNesh DeSusa, Chuck Missler, Doug Axe, John Calvert, Will Harris, Micheal Behe, William Dembski, and others. Evolutionists violently oppose the thesis of Creation or Intelligent Design because it threatens FUNDING from the US Government. So Truth is put on the Back burner in the Public Classroom, and Indoctrination is paramount. I know, I was a Biology Teacher in Public School!
