Providing Resources to Equip and Inspire your Home School

Online that is! We just hooked up the new computer today! We just wanted to pop in and say hello!
We have missed being a part of THC while the computer was down!
We cant wait to catch up with everyone, and see what has been going on!
Do stop by and let us know what we have missed!
I gather that we are all gearing up for school? We are around here. Ordering last minute books and gathering supplies!
It was a busy summer of campaigning for our 'guy' and we got the victory last night! It will be a long road til November!
It is amazing how much my kids have learned about govt, positions in govt and the roles that individual offices play! Whew! Having them involved in a campaign is a much easier way of learning that than using a school book to teach it!
We have made a point of discipling the children in godly 'character qualities'. That is an ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in our lives until we leave this life for sure!
We have done only a small amount of reenacting this summer but have several lined up for the fall.
Scottish Dancing is in full swing and we are enjoying it tremendously!
We hope your summer was great and that you are prepared for the year ahead of discipling your children!
We praise the Lord for the privilege of doing it!
Every blessing, Brett/Dana Adams

Can you believe how expensive bacon is???? We usually buy organic grass fed meat and eat very little of it. However there was a big meat sale at the store and we stocked up! Of course our fridge died for good after that but the church is letting us store our meat there right now, thankfully!

We are a very ungrateful people. May the Lord give us gracious hearts to be thankful for our manifold blessings! We are so blessed, He is so good to us. And, we are so undeserving...

I don't know why we are purposely destroying ourselves.  America will not be destroyed from an outside force but from within.  These gmo foods are making us ill.  Many are the allergies are being linked to these as well.

Yes, we eat a lot of rice and beans as well...Lots of soups, egg dishes, etc.  I sure do miss red meat though.  I'd love to have a nice steak once in a while...but the prices are too high.  We don't even eat hamburger anymore. Chicken goes on sale quite a bit here though.

If rice/beans are thrid world then weve been there for a while! lol!

Did you know that one time America sent a barge load of corn to Europe and they rejected it? Know why? They think gmo is poisonous...cant blame them for that!

Thats great that your husband hunts.  If our president continues the policies he's started we will all be eating "third world meals"  This is a part of the plan...to even out the planet. The redistribution of wealth from America to the rest of the world is also being implemented by our government. America has been prosperous because of our Godly heritage and freedom principles.  We have been able to help third world countries because of this prosperity.  If America fails so does the world.  We are gluttonous...it's true.  And we do not have grateful hearts. An economic collapse will cure this for sure.  I'm curious though....what do you mean by a third world meal.  Rice & Beans....or snake soup?  :)   ~Anne

A friend of mine went up to Iowa to where his uncles friend has a 600 acre corn field...not a stalk on it. gulp. Exactly right Anne "The Roman road'. Sigh.No Anne that wasnt really off topic! It all goes together! Life , faith, praying, installing good leaders...which means raising up good leaders in our homes....

Shelia yes it is a good thing he hunts...and that for now he it is still lawful for him to do so!

Man a 35$ round bale last year is currently 80$!!!!!! Geesh! Yes off topic...I guess....???

Makes me glad my husband hunts. We had enough meat to get us through this past year. We've also been training on eating more third world meals. Hopefully when we get our garden going at the new place I won't have to worry about vegetables either. We eat like gluttons in this country and I think some people are going to be hurting this time next year.

I hear food prices will be going up as well.  As long as our government continues to "print" money the prices of everything will go up because the value of the dollar will be less. We are following the Roman road. Praying for our America....and the election.  I hope folks wake up before its too late.  Here in CA folks seem so apathetic and ignorant as well.  I feel like getting a bumper sticker that says "Get Informed before you vote!" I don't want everyone to vote.....many Californians should just stay home because they do not have a clue.   This was off topic....wasn't it?

Have a blessed day Dana.  :)

I had a lot more time with the kids and in this day/age we need every moment we can get to disciple them dont we?We had some victories in our primary here in MO but things are progressing downward quickly. Train train train, disciple disciple disciple!! O yes, and school our children! Here in Mo, feed prices for cattle doubled over nite! Bags of feed grain went up 9$ a bag and we were told that is just the beginning! Wow! Time to tighten our belts I guess:)
