Her heart skipped a beat as she was lifted up. Shouts of Mazel Tov (Congratulations) rang through the air! Grinning, ear to ear, she danced up and down, tightly grasping her wedding chair. Her new groom smiled back at her, among choruses of Hava Nagillah and swirling chairs.
Now, they would dance as one! Cautiously she let go of her chair, her only stability in this jumble of cheers and laughter. She grabbed on to one end of a silken scarf, provided by someone in the crowd. She knew not who in all the excitement. Her groom grabbed onto the other end. They danced together in the air, brought to together by family and love.
We all enjoy seeing a couple in love. The joy of the Jewish Wedding, with its dancing and endless food is a prefect microcosm of that happiness.
In our story, the Jewish bride was lifted up into the air at her Wedding Celebration!
Keep that image of the Jewish Wedding in your mind, as you soak in today's passage...
King James Version (KJV)
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Reflect upon today that we too will meet our Groom in the air!
Prayer Affirmation:
I look forward to our Heavenly meeting with the joy of a bride in love with her bridegroom! Hallelujah to God in the Highest!

I love the delirious joy you described during the wedding, which is exactly how we will feel when we are united with Christ! I can't wait! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
