"i was like that with my oldest. at an early age i taught her phonics and she learned quickly :) proud mommy. i taught her the letters, she knew them all! then, at 4, she wanted to read. proud mommy!! but she couldn't figure out how to sound out…"

"I took my youngest to an eye doctor. He told me that the culture now pushes children to read so young. I mentioned Raymond Moore who talked about how children's eyes develope later. He was familier with that and agreed."

I am partly tempted to get this for my 2 1/2 year old because she still uses toddler speak instead of building her vocab and who doesn't want a reading child.  I'm hesitant that it is sight and see method and will delay her phonics.  Any thoughts?
