I wanted to comment on your statements about public school teaching. I used to be a public school special educator, and I am amazed to see how little time it takes me to finish my daughter's lessons for kindergarten since we are home schooling. I think I may still be in school mode in my thinking because it still seems strange to start school at 10:30 a.m. and be finished by lunch time.
THanks for letting me know, Anita. I do plan on going this year and will hopefully be purchasing some curriculum for next school year. THe conference last year was actually why I started homeschooling this year instead of waiting until next year! ;-)
HI, Jan! It's nice to meet you! Jeff and I began homeschooling our children when he was a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth. We started back in 1988!! We have some great memories from our days in Ft. Worth. The Homeschool Channel will be at the Arlington conference this year. The kids and I may go as well. Be sure to stop by the booth and say hello!!
