Ok, so I don't have time to read all the comments today, sorry guys!!!  Posting a real NEED for "Adventures in My Father's World" for 2nd and 3rd graders.  need overlap/streamline for this next school year with my two eldest and new baby on the way in Nov. 11'.  This family of 7 soon to be eight is in need of the My Father's World Curriculum.  Fall back workbooks from Rod and Staff for 2nd and 3rd grade, or workbooks for A Beka for 2nd and 3rd grade.  Somehow I have the curriculum books whise for A Beka for 2nd and 3rd grades and some for Rod and staff books whise (no workbooks) for 2nd grade only....in prayer God will provide what we need!  He is GOOD/GREAT all the time and can ALWAYS be depended upon!

Many Blessings,

The Doering Family

Our used curriculum sales are always well-attended here in WA. We just tell the people in our local homeschool group. I've sold used curriculum and always made over $100, even though most of my items were $5 or less. For so many years, this was the primary way God answered my prayers for curriculum, since money was so limited. We always do the used curriculum sales at a church gym. We throw $5 per table at the coordinator so she can be paid for the tons of work she does. Everybody wins.

Shelli,

How did your used curr. sale go in March? How was attendance and the overall event? Did you feel it was a success? I'd like to hear how it turned out.

I also found a cool site like that, it is Bookbyte.com. They buy back used textbooks from college and homeschool. They give you an estimate for the book if they are accepting the title and pay for shipping!!! I made $154 back with my hubby law books and it took me about 20 minutes of digging.

Joy and others -

I found out that we are able to post "wanted" items and also "for sale" items in the Classifieds section of The Homeschool Channel. I had created a "discussion" about "for sale" items, but I deleted that. It's wonderful that there is a classifieds area already set up for this purpose!

So now we'll all know where to go.

Can we post items we would like to sale on here?

As I mentioned in my previous post, I contact all of the local support groups, and ask them to adveertise via email announcement and/or newsletters. I also post the event on our local Christian radio station website, under community events, and I put flyers up at the libraries and grocery stores.

The more you get people talking about it, the better. The word will spread. I sent reminders every 2 weeks leading up to our event, and then the week before, and then a final reminder 2-3 days before.

And remember... this is the first year of your event. If attendance is not what you had hoped for, don't be discouraged. Most likely the folks that do attend this year, will tell a friend next year, and attendance will grow.

Blessings,
Lynn P.
