Comment by James and Stephanie Fairchild on December 22, 2012 at 10:22am Hi Our name is James and Stephanie Fairchild. We live in Raeford NC about 30 min from Fayetteville. We moved here from Ohio alittle over a year ago to work on a hundre acre farm. We are from the Plain People Community(in Ohio we were Beachy Amish- here we are Amish-Mennonite) there is only one other Plain family in our area and we go to their home for church. We have 2 children our 7 year old is Alexander(he is on the low end of Autism spectrum-ADHD) our 5 year old is Laura(learning dissabilities-ADHD). We are beginning our 3rd year of homeschooling. We are repeating 1st grade for Alex and Laura does the same stuff as her brother, the both do a preschool book for colors as they struggle with that. We don't do kindergarten. We use 2 programs we are part of Advanced Training Institute(ATI) and we use Rod and Staff(made for Amish and Mennonite schools-but great for anyone).
