Hello Mary Beth.  we are finishing up RtoR.  and will be starting E to 1850...I have loved it ...I used the Kindergarten with my DD and she has been listening with the big girls for the las two years...this year she will join then in all their projects....I do use Spelling power...for the two older girls, and will start is with my younger one this fall....wasn't real impressed with writing strands, but I don'[t know if I gave it a fair shot...

Enjoy..Venicia

I am getting ready to start ECC this Fall with my boys, 10 &12. Any good advice for using this curriculum? Do you like the supplements that they recommend...like writing strands and spelling power?

HI..Im Ashley. :) We just finished up our first year of homeschooling 1st grade. We have purchased Adventures for 2nd grade. I've looked through the lessons and LOVE what I see. We are excited to start in the fall! Looking forward to seeing all the Lord has in store for us.

I want to welcome those of you who are starting MFW. We have done ECC, Creation to the Greeks and are just now finishing up Rome to the Reformation.  We have really enjoyed it.  We will be continuing on with Exploration to 1850 in Sept.

I will have a 9th grader and a 6th grader when it is time for the 5th year in the cycle--1850 to Modern Times.  I am not sure how to handle that year yet, but I am praying about it already. I am thinking to just supplement and add a few essays or reports to beef it up for him.  Neither of them will be doing the science that comes with it, they will be doing Apologia.  I would love any ideas those of you with High Schoolers may have.

Sabrina, you will love MFW. This is our 1st year doing MFW. We are doing Exploring Cultures and Countries (ECC). Not only will your sanity return LOL your children will love it also. We are learning so much. Enjoy and join the Facebook groups also if you like. They give some great ideas to go along with your studies.

Hello!! I am a homeschooling mother of 5 and I have bought MFW to try out next school year (in Sept.) I am only using the History/Science/Bible portion but I am excited to start. I can teach all of my children these 3 subjects at the same time and I am planning on that to save my sanity! ;)

Hi, I am a  mother to three beautiful girls (8,7, & 2)  This is our first year using My Father's World - Adventures and we absolutely love it!!  We are already looking forward to next year with ECC.

Hi, Ruth again,

One reason why we enjoyed ECC so much was because of how the boys' prayer increase.  During that cycle (we've done it twice), I created a prayer journal designed for them.  This helped give structure to their prayer life.  It also kept the countries in the forefront of their minds.  So when they heard info regarding that area, their eyes would brighten & they would exclaim "Hey, we're praying for those people there!" And they would intently listen to the news or read the info.  The Lord use that material to open their hearts to the missionaries & the unreached groups in other parts of the world.

We're doing CtoG (2nd time) this year w/ our youngest.  See the creation story become more than a story is great to see.  Because of this cycle, our family & extended family how has a passover meal every year.  Its a great time.  We used this as an opportunity to sharing the gospel message with those who are unsaved in our family. The children how know what to say & when to say things better than we (the adults) do.

Our prayer every year is that the Lord will used every curriculum (from math to art) to bring us closer to Him.  And so some cycles have move smoother than other, in the end we can our prayer is that we can look back and say "God was pleased with our endeavor."

Your Sis in Christ - Ruth
