Comment by Karen on March 18, 2010 at 8:31am: Hi. I am Karen and I live in the Lafayette area. Our family has been homeschooling for about 20 years. Our children have been in several learning environments. Sometimes private Christian school, sometimes public school and sometimes homeschool. We have five children ranging from 33 to 13. Two married daughters and seven grandchildren. The youngest boy is the one homeschooling now. Everyone else has graduated. We participate in a co-op at our church.

I discovered I have breast cancer this year, so that has been a challenge. I have had surgery and now am half way through chemo. I am glad we are homeschooling because we can plan our own schedule.
