Homeschool Purpose And Accountability Partners

Have you been wanting to do that hands-on project in your homeschool, but never seem to follow through? Did you want to exercise this morning, but just rolled over instead? Perhaps you wanted to make a new recipe, but you picked up Little Caesar's again? Did you desire to read your Bible, only to read your email?

Well, if you answered yes, then this group is just what you need to give you the motivation and inspiration to achieve your worthwhile goals! This Group will help you be accountable to complete the tasks that you purpose in your heart to do!

When you have a goal in mind- post it here! Have an overall purpose in mind like "I want to be a better homeschool mom!" Then, post a small goal you can do today (or this week) to make that happen. For instance you might write, "going to do a hands-on lesson now." Then, simply check back with us later and say something like, "I did it!" We will cheer each other on with a "Great job! or "Really Good Work," etc. Nobody will make you feel bad if you do not meet your goal that day. This is a place for pure positive encouragement!

This will also provide you with a pleasant way to see real measurable spiritual growth in your life!

Comment by James and Stephanie Fairchild on February 27, 2013 at 10:05am: we are still putting in floors in our home, in school kids are doing review for arithmetic- they can count objects to 6 and can count to 13, but if you ask them to point to 5 they are having a hard time, so we decided to halt learning new stuff until they cn recognize 0-6 and also can tell me what comes after, and which is larger. Penmanship is going good, they are now learning to print letters, and phonics is going good. They recognize a(apple), e(egg) and now i(igloo) we still have a few more days in i lesson before we move onto o(October). Today is nice here in NC(Raeford) so we let Alex go with daed to the chicken houss to help with repairs and after lunch Laura is going to help me with some yard cleaning.

1 goal I want to get done is to start teaching Laura to sew on Saturdays and have James on Sat start teaching Alex how to use his tools he got for christmas. I was Laura's age when I began to sew and we think that learning to work with tools will be good for Alex and his Autism.

Question-does anyone know how you find out about home school support groups in the area you live in? I am having trouble finding one that can sometimes go to for the children.

Blogger Comment by Evonne Mandella on February 4, 2013 at 1:52pm: Need to focus:)! I started a new happy worker chart for my kids- they earn 100 points for good attitudes, homeschool, etc. to earn $1 allowance. It has helped with behavior stuff!

Goal- working on a new ebook series on the Torah portions starting with creation :)

I would like to have it completed and up and advertised on my homeschool shop my 4:00 today! God, please this time, in Jesus' Name, Amen
