I wonder how we as wives can build up our husbands in their 'most holy faith'? I think it is important first of all to pray for our husbands. If we do not who will? Secondly I believe strongly that…Continue

Just want to publicly honor my husband who has been leading by example in our family. We have gone through a period where where tempers are short, anger is quick and yelling/spanking was all too frequent (mostly on my part). He has shown me how to step back and quietly lead.

Professor Clod has a great story upload this month on www.discoveryandfun.com. Also, on his Clues and News page he has link to a great resource for loads of free FUN and insteresting experiments, studys and projects to help kids understand how science and the Bible work together. Excellent materials for teaching Creation science!

Joshua, thanks for joining and commenting on the blog. I believe that God will honor your attempts to bring the family more into conformity with His desires to have you free to worship and serve Him. If you haven't heard of Kevin Swansons' www.generationswithvision.com they have an annual family economics conference which is always affordable, where you can get many ideas and support. www.visionforum.com also has an Entreprenurial Bootcamp to enable Families to break free from the wage earner mentality and to start family businesses
Comment by Joshua Christensen on November 20, 2011 at 6:22am I've homeschooling my kids with my wife since 2005 when our oldest started kindergarten. I don't think I've ever reached out to other dads along the journey to see what types of experiences they have.
For the most part, my wife takes care of the schooling and I work to provide for the family financial support needed to keep us all going. At times, the last few years have been quite a burden due to changes in the economy, but I'd do what ever I can to maintain the influence we're able to have with our children's character, education, faith, and future.
I've taken it to a new level in creating a new company that my family can participate in with me. I want to teach my kids about personal finance and how to create their own income rather than rely on others for jobs and things like that which are so uncertain at times.
I constantly pray that I'm on the right track with my family and with my girls. Are there any other dads out there that can offer any suggestions?
