My wife Patti and I have been married over 26 years. Our children are 21 and 16. While we did not home school, we have been blessed to be able to influence the lives of our children and equip them to overcome the confusion that is wrought through our public school system, because we are ministers to children.
I am a member of The Homeschool Channel, not because we home school, but because we have taught children in church classrooms for many, many years. Through this experience we know that children learn and absorb information best through interesting and FUN activities and games. This is a fact not just for learning the Bible, but for every subject (math, science, reading, etc.)
For this reason, and having a strong desire to support families who are teaching their children to see and understand the world from a biblical perspective, we have established a free web-site www.discoveryandfun.com (FREE means there is no charge for anything on the site, and there are no advertisements.) This site features Bible based stories, puzzles and other FUN stuff to encourage and assist elementary age children in learning about Creation and Christ.
The site is updated monthly by that "Bible Archaeologist" known around the world as Professor Clod Hopper. (Please see the Parent's Page for more insight into Professor Clod.) Professor Clod has included a page on his site for displaying works of art by Kids, and he is looking into forming a fan club. Please take a few minutes to check out www.discoveryandfun.com and let us know what you think.
